My name is Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt. I’m a Senior Researcher in knowledge- and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technologies. I hold a Ph.D. in Information Technologies (2008), an M.Sc. in Electronic Business (2005), and a B.Sc. in Informatics (1998), from the University of Belgrade in Serbia. My research journey started in March 2002, after joining the Good Old AI network of researchers, working in the fields of applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and software engineering. In November 2006, I joined Salzburg Research as a Senior Researcher in the Knowledge and Media Technologies (KMT) Department. In the period between 2002 and 2014, I was actively working in the area of knowledge-based content management systems, AI and semantic web technologies, and ontology engineering.  In 2014, the research topics of the KMT shifted in the direction of the Internet of Things (IoT), and my research interest focused on digital collaborative platforms, digital twins and cybersecurity (cloud and edge security, data governance mechanisms and cyber ethics for IoT and Cyber Physical Systems (CPS)). In 2021, I joined the Department for Intelligent Connectivity of Salzburg Research.
